The Poet and The Blushing Blonde
Jade sees life in a way that most of us cannot understand...or can we?
As a child, Jade was the girl who liked to play rough with the boys, yet she was also the girl who brought home stray kittens and was always there to nurse birds with broken wings. It was as though her tough exterior was her shield against a violent and insensitive world.
Yet at the age of fifteen, when girls should be safe and loved, she found herself tragically alone, surrounded only by strangers. Not knowing who she could trust, she made a bad choice and was betrayed, deeply hurt in a way that still haunts her.
Since then, she has fought bouts of depression and anorexia, all the time being careful to keep her innermost feelings silent. And now, though she has spent much of her life feeling smothered by an indifferent world, she has come forth with a collection of songs that, although intensely personal, speak to a universal audience.
They are the songs of a survivor.
