Cytrus is Tatu J. Lund. Damage is an MP3 D.A.M. CD. Thus, it is good quality at bargain prices. This disc is excellent electronica at any price. This is one of those "in-betweeners." It is more than minimalism and less than dense sequencing. There are minimalist atmospheres and deep sequences but this is largely experimental e-music. There are plenty of computerized beeps, boops and whirrs and lots of unconventional twisted rhythms. The percussion surrounds some organized dissonance.

That description could fit many avant-garde constructions and many listeners would choose to call this an avant-garde CD. (I am tempted myself.) But this CD, while certainly experimental, is more than that. The music evokes feelings of joy and freedom. Tatu is reaching beyond the paradigms of modern digital e-music. He takes deep listeners with him.
It is an interesting adventure. Deep listeners will have to expand their imaginations to keep pace with Tatu. The rewards are generous.
