Here
are some suggestions for listening:
- It's
imperative that you listen with stereo headphones...so find some that are
comfortable. "Ear buds" are perfect. Obviously, you
probably don't have your bed next to your computer, so you'll need to find
a way to get this audio in a "portable" form. You can record it
directly to a stereo cassette, burn it to CD, or even better - download it
to an MP3 player if you have one. If you have a comfortable chair or couch
close enough to your computer that you can listen there, that's fine too.
- Listen to the "Hi-Fi" file
(if you have a high-speed Internet connection), or download the entire file. The "lo-fi" version
is so compressed, that the synchronization effect is likely to be quite diminished.
- Know
what to expect. The audio consists mostly of white noise, and may or may
not be accompanied by music and voice. This may sound like "static"
to some, or ocean waves to another. Give it a few minutes, and you'll probably
find it pleasant.
- Make
sure you'll be undisturbed. You want to enter into these sessions without
worrying about whether someone or something is going to interrupt you.
This is
not something from which we're likely to see overnight results. I would ask
you to listen to the audio at least once a day for a couple of weeks, letting
me know if you have any comments or questions or suggestions! The idea is
for us to all work together to make this as successful an endeavor as possible.
Remember,
this is an ongoing experiment. It may take weeks or month for this audio to
evolve into something really spectacular with just the right elements of music
and vocal suggestions, combined with just the right mix of brainwave synchronization
audio. Just keep it going (unless listening makes you highly uncomfortable for
some reason, which I'd like to know about!) and keeps notes on how you're feeling
one day to the next. Result may be subtle, so keeping good notes is going to
be important.
You'll
want to be asking yourself questions like:
- How
am I sleeping?
- How
rested to I feel?
- How
is my energy level throughout the day?
- Do I
feel bigger? Stronger?
