"EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT' is a story of bravery set to music, and you can submit a sequel.
So it's Winter in South Africa, the temperature in Pretoria plummets to a chilly (for South Africans) 10 degrees Celsius and people go crazy! The rush hour traffic becomes a time bomb of people frozen to drowsiness obstructing people who are convinced they will die if they can't get to a warm place soon, and the survival instinct which kicks in, obliterates any consideration for the needs of others. Even the cars and buses, normally designed to survive European conditions, become heat addicts and broken down automobiles litter the roadside. People scald their tongues on hot chocolate and shops try to sell clothes designed for the North Pole at prices you would normally expect to find in Switzerland. Greed and cold wreaks havoc with soceity and chews at the fibre of morality. One advantage is that now, Saturday morning, the Net is free and fast, people who would normally be clogging our over-burdened telecommunications network, are huddling in a corner somewhere.
