The great ship has met its fearsome fate. Mermaids watch bemused as human and man-made remains float down. They are heartlessly amused by a stylish hat and a cracked mirror, not caring why they're in the depths - but as the bodies are consumed by the salt sea, the mer creatures pity the remnants of humanity whoses spirits sleep in the seabed forever. |
