I have an ambitious project : to express in music the simple life of a common man. Here are the 2 first movements : the 1st movement "From the Void" is purely symphonic; the 2nd movement "To the Birth" is a Hip Hop symphony. |

Funeral for a Lost Illusion by Paduc was an interesting find. Reminiscent of vintage Enya in spots, this New Age piece features building layers of synth pads and percussion. Also reminiscent in style of Vangelis, Funeral for a Lost Illusion tends to sound almost like powerful old tracker music of yesteryear. While noticeably synthetic in spots, it seems to retain its sense of Illusion throughout, returning to a 3 note motive that is played on an airy choir synth pad. Overall, a pretty unique sound to it indeed, although Funeral music it may not be.- Reviewed by MP3Magazine.net |

Featured by Mp3.com *** "A very provocative track, and a new angle on a grand theme incorporating gothic, techno and progressive elements as well. A many-faceted creation juxtaposing experimental and classical forces in ways that enhance and illuminate their strengths. It is at once atmospheric and symphonic, eerie and explosive, and certainly bears authentic resemblance to the mythological creature for which it is named." reviewed by Dark Ryders 12/06/01

2002 REMIXED!!! ***
This could be an out-take from Mike Oldfield's golden age. In fact, rather than waste your money on Tubular Bells II & III etc you'd probably be better off buying a CD from Paduc. Grandiose, epic and just a smattering of that pretentiousness that we have come to expect and love from Progrockers & Symphonic Electronica composers everywhere Some soaring solo guitar work from Angie's Spiral
Ok, it's not as polished as Oldfield's compositions and one could class it 'derivative' but then again as Mr Oldfield persists in offering tongue-in-cheek copies of his back catalalogue set to 'modern' dance rhythms, why should we not enjoy Paduc? *** Reviewed by The Love Frequency

Astounding. Beautiful, precise and overwhelming. The lush composition and percussive elements of the instruments make this one of your best pieces to date. A perfect harmony of new electronic and time-honored classical treatments. We should all be so lucky as to have the talent for musical composition you have. A satire of my famous "Lestat's Dance". If the prince and vampire Lestat was a frog, since often frogs are princes... I can't resist to the pleasure to copy here the nice review of my friend Hank Mohaski at Acidplanet.com : "By the '20 mark, I had decided this was the second best song ever uploaded to Acidplanet.com, (...) the rhythmic croaking, the buzzing flies, the sampled Count, the harp and well, just sooo much goodness packed into just the first ten seconds....this is demented fun, a Saturday morning cartoonfest with too much magic dust sprinkled on the Lucky Charms....I was able to follow Lestat the Frog on his wild adventure, through the pasture (cows are not used nearly enough in popular song, and I for one take some blame myself for that), the backroads to the side of the highway.....the increased croaking and the stretched out length it takes for that car to approach Lestat is as solid a dramatic buildup as I have ever heard in a song (completely serious) and for that ending alone, you should be raised by the citizenry of Acidplanet.com and paraded around the Community Section.....Bravo!!!! |

Pour...stir...and mix well. A great job of incorporating the classical elements with the modern house-trance groove. "Wouldn't happen to be Tokoyo, Japan, because that's where I was whilst listening? Lots of little men in grey suits withshiny briefcases; financial times tucked under their arms, scurrying to work. Has a very subtle oriental flavour. If that'swhat you intended then I'm impressed - takes flair to give just a hint without being overt. Loved the bells and the shuffledrum beat - arrived at just the right moment. And the electronic harpsichord (or clavinet?) defined the classic Paductouch."
