| This song was inspired by the prayer of the prophet Nehemiah for the apostate nation of Israel for spiritual revival (Nehemiah 1:5). In the same way, this song is a prayer for the Lord to bring a genuine revival by His Spirit to His church, so that His people are again empassioned for His Presence and burdened to reach out in love to a lost and dying world.
