And then...
This is the counterpart of my page of modern classical work ( which you can find by clicking here ). This page contains pieces that have something that came out of pop, jazz, or ethnic music; beats, styles, progressions, etc... But that doesn't mean they're so "pop"; I don't really consider them to be much different than the classical stuff. Music is music, wherever and whenever it comes from. My goal is to make it new, and make it right.
Welcome... enjoy.

(1989, arr. 2000) An earlier example of what I used to call my "patternmaking" style. this one is made up almost entirely of a few arpeggios, where each successive note is highlighted on each repetition. The whole thing floats through a series of "key" changes. My premiere performance of this piece was in September 1989, at the Seattle Bumbershoot festival. | MP3.com CD: PulsePlay : 80s & 90s - buy it!
