PRO CRITIC RADIO SAYS: Add Ian Charles name to the scroll of great Americana singer/songwriters ... he belongs among the list of names like Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Butch Hancock, Dave Alvin, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and others ... he may have been born in England, but he is as American a storyteller as has ever existed ... grounded in the roots of folk, country, and heartland rocknroll, the flame of the genre may well be passed down to this man. Integrity, honestly, and sentiment seep out of every pore of his songs with passion. This is Americana/alt-country ... enjoy it.
