A downtempo track that combines a warm analog bass and analog synth sounds with my signature mellow downtempo vibe. |

Austrian vocalist Zeebee laced my recording "Moving Through Space and Time" with laid back jazz vocals. More of her musical collaborations are located here: www.mp3.com/zeebee |

This is more jazz-funk. Blaxploitation flick theme music. Shaft in outerspace. |

In my opinion, this is probably one of the best tracks that I have ever created. A near perfect blend of styles, combining elements of Downtempo Electronica, Acid Jazz and Ambient Music. This music comes close to the sound that I have been striving for. |

Frenetic drum and bass. The original version of this track was put "on hold" pending a "copyright issue." It seems the folks at MP3.COM don't like spoken word samples. |

A fairly simple recording consisting of a Hopi Indian flute over a dub style reggae bassline. Subtle Jazz chords float in and out during this track. |

: Another spacey-sounding Ambient track with soft muted sounds. This is one of my more unusual tracks, and it sounds a bit more somber than my other tracks. I experimented with using an unusual rhythm that didn't have a typical four on the floor House, Hip-Hop, or Drum and Bass pattern. Consider the spoken word sample. Look beyond its obvious meaning |

This track is basically an ambient mix of acid jazz and funk. I have been listening to a lot of Jazz, Acid Jazz and Ambient CDs lately. I especially like the early CDs from a duo out of England called Fila Brazillia (Black Market Gardening, Maim That Tune). Consequently, I have developed an appetite for down tempo mellow grooves. Listening to these three different kinds of music made me wish that there was one kind of music that blended the quality of all three. This track is one of twelve that reflects my attempt at creating this kind of music.I made this music basically by using Sonic Foundry’s Sound Forge software to chop up and alter samples and create new ones and by using ACID Music to arrange them. The bass line, sax riff, and drum pattern were created by taking one or two note segments from solo recordings, intros, or breaks and rearranging them. I tend to like music that sounds “dreamy” or “spacey”, so I go beyond merely chopping up samples, to using extensive effects on them. I used effects like panning, reverb, delay, and wah wah on the jazz samples in this track. EQ was used to remove a bass line from one of the jazz samples since I had already created a bass line. Pitch shifting and breakdowns were used to keep the track from sounding too repetitive. |
