"Angizia, daughter ot Etea, discovered poisonous herbs first. they say, and managed poisons masterly and called the moon down from the sky; with whistles she stopped the rivers, and calling the forests, took them away from the mountains." Angizia is a mythological figure, who was believed to live near the town Of Morino in Abruzzo (Italy), in a wood which was known as "ye wood of Angizia". A group, which hath once chosen this prototype for the title, is another famous - amongst ye musicians mostly - Austrian (Vienna) unit combinig theatrical / metal influencies into the defined frame of their compositions. Existing as Engelke's (vocals, vocal structures, musical concepts, artwork, inspiration) project, Angizia seem to consciously choose to stay in the upper-underground of the gothic stage. Having recorded 3 full-length LPs & a split CD with Amestigon, they recruit new musicians for every album, more than that, they don't tour at all, planning to end up their career one day with a live show. [Angizia]: ye project unofficial is set online on 03/01/2000. We take response for any mistakes, errors, misleading proposals etc. concerning the group data & stuff. This site is a mixture of few segregated materials from the web, related with this avantgarde gothic unit, & original materials - graphics, reviews, the whole composition - of the author, protected by the copyright conventions / national legislation, and a doze of HTML skills. There are few copyright exceptions: this background theme is a remake of Sue Martin's $31.0 "Violin"; there's also another Sue Martin's $31.0 theme from the picture "Piano"; 'what's new' center thing is a remake of Tilly Milton's $28.0 "Concerto"; Angizia logo in the left top is a remake of Napalm Records' variant. Several images of statues here and there were taken from photos made by coroner of www.gothic.ru at cemeteries of Saint-Petersburg and Moscow (Russia). This site is unique in variety of site versions offered for a better & adequate on-line perception. It includes [generic] version for low connect / small monitor; a doubled [frames] version, which is really defined, [Flash 4] ultra-modern and ultra-trendy version (including <<angizia machine>>), & a [russian version], which is a joke mostly in its industrial design and spirit. The whole site concept is inspired by classic / atmospheric music of Angizia, Burzum, Penitent, Sopor Aeturnus, Arcana, Summoning, Die Verbannten Kinder Eva's, Empyrium, Raison D'Etre, Grabesmond, Enid's, Welladay, Welten Brand, The Soil Bleeds Black etc., though it doesn't fit exactly the trademark light & gracious impression comparable to child's play contained within Angizia's CDs, it still seems. This
