In 1997, Synetik (David Mason) started programming drum machines for a small hip-hop group. Later, his experimentation with sampling led to the creation of experimental breakbeat-trance, jungle, drum'n'bass and electro.
This began Synetik's journey of musical discovery & experimentation, exposing him to the sounds of Dom & Roland, Rob Playford, Future Sound of London, Lionrock, Meat Beat Manifesto, Kraftwerk, Juan Aitkins and more...
These days, Synetik keeps busy promoting and working in the Drum'n'Bass scene in Queensland, Australia through his DJing and Producing. His unique style of Drum and Bass has been well received localy and abroad. 'Biotechnology' (Inner Workings) shot to the top 5 position in the Australian Digital music charts in March 2000 (The first time for a jungle/d&b track) and was shortly after featured on SBS TV (Alchemy) as well as being used for background music for 'The Snow Show' on Sky TV & Channel 7.
Recently, his track 'Bounty Hunter Chase' was selected to feature on the massively popular 'Boba Fett Fan Club' website - exposing Synetik's sound to tens of thousands of Star Wars fans.
