we all started running
before we learned to walk.
and we published all our papers
before we learned to talk.
we already had the answer,
it's the question we forgot.
and now we're busy trying
to be something that we're not.
|
So how does it feel to be herded like a sheep?
and how does it feel to be awake but still asleep?
and how does it feel to know that you are not alone-
that the thoughts inside your head are really not your own?
|
|
we wrote down all our questions
and answered them with lies
and became our own infection
right before our eyes
our hypocrisy enslaves us
and we fastened our own chains
and now we've built a fire
to burn our own remains
|
so how does it feel to be your own worst enemy?
and how does it feel to know that you were never free?
and how does it feel to know that you are not alone-
that you will be included when everything is gone?
