Based out of Ventura, California, the Guy Martin Group's high-energy
performances and powerful stage presence have been exciting crowds and
winning them fans from all over Southern California. With a repertoire
of 50 original tunes, the group has had the opportunity to play over
250 dates in the past two years. Throughout some of their
travels, the band has been able to open for several national acts
including Kenney Wayne Shepperd, Jeff Healey Band, Ronnie Earl,
Slash, The Buddah Heads, Lonnie Brooks, Corey Stevens, and the list is climbing.
With the authenticity of the blues at stake, the Guy Martin Group always deliver their brand
of the blues with nothing but feelings straight from the heart.
Guy seems to dominate that thing they call a "Fender Stratocaster",
stretching the limits of it's capability to be a fine tuned instrument.
With his band keeping clockwork time behind him, Guy's emotional, heart felt guitar playing will definitely
grab you and pull you in. Whether it be for some rug cuttin' to their down home, texas style tunes,
or just the visual stimulation you will get from watching one of GMG's blistering sets.
You will surley leave a Guy Martin Group show feeling like you've just been touched with a taste of soul.
