John's new CD, "I used to live where it snows", was finished in April 2002. It contains highly melodic songs that are performed with pop and orchestral instruments. Some of the musical styles explored are pop, surf, funk, lounge, synth and classical. John's previous CD, "Strange, Savage Beauty" is modern percussion music. Although it is very musical, it is not for the timid or those with a closed musical mind.
John began his musical career at age 16, as a drummer in a professional bar band. At age 21, John earned a Bachelors Degree in Music, with an emphasis on performance, theory and composition. While earning this degree, John was a featured soloist in a 60-member concert ensemble. John has pursued other interests since then, such as earning an Masters Degree in Computer Science, and becoming a Senior Software Engineer ... but he never lost his musical passion.
