Of Rebekkah Hilgraves distinguished pianist and critic John Bell Young (Opera News, American Record Guide) writes: "...[Hilgraves] proves that some people are simply born to perform the music of certain genres or composers. Without reservation I can say much the same about Ms. Hilgraves and French chansons...  soprano with a silvery voice, impeccable diction and real interpretive savoir faire, she sings... music of Debussy and the always charming Duparc divinely.Very much in the refined tradition of Claire Croiza, Yvonne Printemps and Suzanne Danco...How I would love to hear this splendid chanson interpreter as Melisande!  Anyone casting at the moment?"

February 5th and 6th, 2000, I performed Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915 (words by James Agee) with the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra.  I'm delighted to report that we received a standing ovation on Sunday afternoon at Meany Hall!

Also check the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra web site.

Other scheduled performances can be found in the Events section of my web site.

A week before the performances, members of the Seattle Philharmonic appeared with conductor Marsha Mabrey to talk about the program and offer some samples of what was to come. An excerpt from Knoxville: Summer of 1915 from that performance can be heard here; check below!

I'm happy to report that we (pianist Violetta Decyatnik and I) have been signed with Eroica Classical Recordings, with our first CD, Monks and Lovers, expected to be released soon.  The CD will feature works by Samuel Barber, Claude Debussy and Henri Duparc.

We have a new CD available here, called The French Connection. From a live performance recorded in November 1999, this is a charming mix of Parisian "fin-de-siècle" salon songs and well-known opera arias.
