nocturneDESiGN is a solo band, exploring sound and
music through the use of electronic-based rhythms, melodies, and media
samples. At first listen, the untrained ear (most likely disillusioned
by Britney Spheres and N*Sphynct) may not comprehend the unconventional
style explored by nD. You will hear bass-intense, often hip-hop inspired
beats, psychedelic harmonics, immense bass-lines, and the manipulation
of wild/weird samples (sound clips) but no singing or uninpired instrumentals.
Often the result is an indefinable mixture of musical genres -- a
genre in its own right. Contemporaries exploring similar sonic territory
include Amon Tobin, Coldcut, SquarePusher, and Funki Porcini.

This is one
of the 'signature' pieces of nocturneDESiGN, as well as the most popular
so far. "Tremelo
cries of bhagavadian love, shimmering glue layers of intradimensional
hindu cries woven through the electro static pulsings... slowly they
form a solid mass at the gate of a large preacher's tent... his twisted
rant shatters into powder again, which absorbs into the lower lounge
piano leads... seizure shifts calling to mind some of the finer elements
of coil. tastey." Squelch_One - Minneapolis, Minnesota

A samplerific exploration of how some people take things too far. Huge compressed beats and ethereal synths, mixed with turntable craziness and various ©-free audio clips. |
