This is the first movement of A Rather Strange Symphony In No Particular Key. Created with the program Musinum, it is the representation of 2, 3, 7, 15, and 31 over 2. A very fast piece consisting of blazing pipe organs (courtesy of the AWE 64 Gold) each playing the same pattern but at entirely different speeds. Sort of a dueling pipe organs on crack. Note how, though this is computer generated, it has the musical properties of a round and keeps coming back to a central chord. |

The second movement of A Rather Strange Symphony In No Particular Key, P.L.O.D. is a rather slow piece. It actually came about rather as an accident of setting the MIDI octave too high on channel 10 (percussion) while screwing around with bizarre settings in Musinum one day, hence the weird bubbling/shooting/etc. sounds. But it worked very well to offset the ponderous, dragging, hopeless undercurrent in almost a comical way.BTW the song title stands for Plodding Lumps Of Dirt ;) |
