This band has stirred interest all over the United States with their psychotic stage performance and presence. Defined as "Industrial Hard Rock" that is intelligent, powerful, dark, and sexy, SKC has made a mark.
As the American music scene becomes stale with all the "New School" and "Rap-rock" bands, Sister Kill Cycle offer their fans a breath of fresh air. Electronic instruments propel the bands sound with a more rock oriented writing style and live stage pressence then the typical industrial rock band. Sister Kill Cycle has taken the style of 80's pop bands with "hooks" and "catchy chorus'" and combined it with a hard rock style that has created a new sound.
The band self recorded and released a four song demo in 2002 and toured across the US, playing as much as possible and building a strong fan-base. The songs "Massacre the Guilty" and "Too Late" found their place on commercial and college radio stations across the country and also in Europe. In the summer of 2002, the band landed a spot on the Locobazooka Tour with headliners Sevendust, Filter and Non-Point to name a few. After touring most of 2002, the band decided to relocate to singer Raven Chain's home state of Florida, which has spawned many major recording artists.
Raised on the early days of rock and roll showman such as Alice Cooper, Kiss and the more modern industrial sound of bands like Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie, Sister Kill Cycle knew they had to offer more than just good music. Performing their first show in '00, they gradually shifted their lineup before finalizing their present outfit in 2003. The members of Sister Kill Cycle look like something from a psychotic horror movie or comic book and SKC's stage show is as outrageous as the band itself.
With an image that is commercial yet still underground enough to maintain their roots, the band knew from the start they wanted to sell albums and make life lasting fans. "For Sister Kill Cycle, our guide has been watching what other bands have done wrong," continues frontman Raven Chain. "We wanted to do something to stand out more from the rest of the bands in a dying scene, and we wanted the look to go with our sound. That is helping the band create a buzz that we are able to do something with."
