| Braggin' Rights is an emcee battle started two years ago to keep the competitive spirit of hip hop alive. The monthly event was conceived by Pen and Pad Productions, a collective run by Isaac Collazo, Fritz Jeanniton and Yeshua Dapo Ed, three friends who grew up rhyming together in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.They recently ended their 2 year residence at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe a haven for purveyors of underground hip hop. They will be bringing their monthly event to S.O.B's at the end of july.Gogaga caught up with Isaac Collazo after the Braggin' Rites showcase held during the People's Poetry Gathering at Cooper Union. |
