POKER ALICE SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT----
POKER ALICE----the GREATEST BAND IN SWITZERLAND has signed with
TEXAS TWISTER RADIO RECORDS

POKER ALICE was founded in the summer of 1996. They began as a metal band, but soon
two of the members left and began a new musical direction. From the heavy metal sounds
emerged the tender ballads and rocking country sounds that are the hallmark of today's--
POKER ALICE....The year 1997 the band released 2 EPS..."Half Past Midnite" and "Children
In The Rain" and they began to play at several clubs and music events in Switzerland...
In 1998, a wonderful new lead singer was added to the group. When Monica added her sultry
yet innocent vocal renderings, a magical thing transpired...The music was becoming something
new and sensational...It was the incomparable writing talents of band leader Rudy Birchler (AKA/Charlie
Midnite) that added sparkle and depth to Poker Alice...The musical ensemble is a fantastically
talented group of 5 individuals: Monica (vocals); Daniel (guitars)' Rudy(guitars); Rene(drums); Didi
(bass). With everything in place--vocals, musicians, song writing...POKER ALICE began to emerge
as a rising star...Their release of their 8 Track EP "LOUISIANA" brought them to the attention of DJs
and fans around the world...
In 1999 Poker Alice Released a new single "BACK FOR GOOD" which charted # 8 on EMS charts...and they released "WISH YOU WERE HERE" on Texas Twister Radio Records vol. 2 compilation. This song entered several charts that year, as well as another song "THUNDER ROLLS," (released on Texas Twister
Radio Records--vol. 3)...
Their first full length CD was released in 1999---"DON'T CALL ME AFTER 10"...It has continued to gain
recognition and acclaim for the band...
The year 2000 saw the release of three seperate singles by POKER ALICE..."The Plane"; "Freedom",
"Blue Sky". These songs were well received and earned Poker Alice high marks on the music charts
(# 26 EMS, Most Played In Europe # 4, # 5 on EMS chart for 2 full months)...The band also had two of
of earlier Texas Twister releases "Thunder Rolls" and "Wish You Were Here" capture the Number 1 and
the number 3 slot position in Argentina.
The year is now 2001, and Poker Alice is ready to release an exciting new CD in the next few weeks on
Texas Twister Radio Records....The new album is entitled "ONE STEP CLOSER TO RARADISE ,"...It
is a grand and glorious musical delight that will carry Poker Alice to a higher plateau in their journey to
fame.
