Story Behind the Song
A short ditty written while watching CNN. There was a frost in Florida, and they were saying the price of citrus would go up. Being that I don't really care for citrus, I said, "Well, I Don't Feel." The rest of this song wrote itself. Ironically, most people think this is a love song.
It was hot, 98 degrees and I had the flu. I had taken a six-month break from live performance and I was completely out of practice. I was using a borrowed guitar. Did I mention it was hot and I had the flu?
Somehow, despite everything, seven songs made their way to my 'Live' CD which is now out of print. A studio version and a remix version of this song were included on the "Out of Fashion" release.
Lyrics
feel
i don't feel
that you feel
the same
anymore
i just feel
cold warming
i know you
won't feel
and you sit
and you beg
and you tell me
not to go
you can't see
what i need
and now
i don't care
you don't feel
i feel
the same
anymore
and i walk
then i run
i don't feel
you no more
and now you're running from your dreams
i'm not what you expected baby, so it seems
i'm just trying to set the record straight tonight
i just want you to get it right
that
i don't feel
