Story Behind the Song
I never intended this undertaking to be received. It's one of those songs I started to work on, then abandoned. What is posted here, is the initial rough draft of the composition I had in mind. Someone close to me heard it and expressed her appreciation for it, saying she thought it sounded worthy just the way it was. I hope she's right.
I do suggest you download it, as it pales miserably in lo-fi. Additionally, dropped G's abound.
"Hermaphrodites with attitude."
Lyrics
Walkin down the street, kickin cans,
lookin at the billboards, also-rans.
Summing up the people,
checkin out the race,
Doin what I'm doin,
feelin out of place.
Walkin, walkin in the rain.
Walkin, walkin in the rain.
Feelin like a woman,
lookin like a man,
soundin like a no-no,
makin when I can.
Whistling in the darkness,
hiding from the light,
comin to conclusion,
right is night.
Walkin, walkin in the rain.
Walkin, walkin in the rain.
Come in all ye jesters,
enter all you fools,
sit down no-no,
older ghouls.
Trip the light fantastic,
dance the swivel hips,
comin to conclusion,
button up you lip.
Walkin, walkin in the rain.
Walkin, walkin in the rain.
