This true story of a young man's life changed by the presence of God is a roadmap to those who suffer from Alcoholism. This Alcoholic and addict was touched by God and so desperately wanted to reach him. He tried, as many of us do, to think his way to God. But our disease starts in the mind so it is compromised. We feel God but behave in the same sinful way that we always have. For me, it took both the awareness of God and the twelve steps of recovery which taught me how to behave and live differently. His seven friends mentioned at the conclusion, made a decision about a higher power and then entered a treatment facility to learn these steps of life. | MP3.com CD: Let Go - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
A power rock ballad with an intense message. This song is based on a true story about a personal friend of Ken's. A young man of 17 who battled with drugs, found Jesus Christ, but who during a brief relapse of despair and depression took his own life. However, through one man's death, many other lives which this young mans brief life touched, were saved and changed forever.
Lyrics
Unsculpted Clay
"I once knew a young man. He was only 17.
So curious about this world and places still unseen but, when man's world put the squeeze on him, he chose the easy path.
He hid in drugs. He hid in alcohol. He got caught and he had to face man's wrath."
The drug's and the cop's took their toll on him and he was soon too tired to fight.
But God work's in mysterious ways. A cross from Calvary caught his site.
God's love and understanding, well they soon renewed his soul. That precious blood Christ shed for us had brought another who was lost to the fold.
If you could only see yourself through my eyes you would be so proud. You would see a soft and sensitive young man. Not that addict who's screaming loud.
And yet you fight so hard to control this life in every way.
Just be patient young man, give it to God.
We are only....unsculpted clay.
Well Satan disguised his voices from the past. He wore the young man down.
And in the confusion of that past he forgot that Christ was all around.
Too tired to fight he raised the gun
And he fired as he said he would.
So desperate to finally join his God
In the only way... he thought he could
"In anger I fought and I struggled for I could not understand.
How our God could let this be to such a tender, but troubled young man".
When at the gravesite in -
their tears seven addicts found the cross. And their stood seven new sculptures. God's victory in spite of our loss.
If you could have only seen yourself through my eyes you would have been so proud. You would have seen a soft and sensitive young man, not that addict who's screaming loud.
And yet you fought so hard to control this life in every way.
Just be patient young man, give it to God.
We are only...unsculpted clay.
Just be patient my friend, give it to God.
We are only.....
Forever God's hands are molding and shaping us into what he intended us to be. So forever we will only be.....unscuplted clay.
