Not especially flashy, however it's quite hypnotic with a good, steady beat. Our first attempt at a "jazzy" type of song from 1999. | MP3.com CD: Echos of the Mind - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
This song was a complete cooperative effort. Mike began with the chorus pads and the stage was set for a rather mellow type of tune... somewhat peaceful, but sad in overall tone. The drumbeat really brings out the emotion, "heartbeat" and drive behind the piece.
John's bass lines were TOTAL improvizations, the piano was nearly the same, although some planning when into the texture and style of the piano, the melody was utterly extemporaneous.
