    Story Behind the Song
In Greece there has been a lot of public turmoil recently following the government's decision to abolish references to religion in the new citizen's identity-cards. The church insisted that Christians should be able to display their religion on their identity cards, but the government disagrees since religion is a private matter and references to it in Identity cards can lead (and have led in the past) to religious discrimination (against non-christians).
In this context, some of the most fanatical stgatements recently made in public by Archbishop Christodoulos have been widely criticised by the Greek press. For example his assertion that "anyone who ever touched the church got his hand burned" became a... humourous curse in Greece. The amount of inspiration offered to comedians is enormous. But this satire-song is not only hilarious; it's also a danceable techno-music piece expressing the goals and dreams of younger generations who are free of fundamentalist christian fanaticism.

    Lyrics
    Any hand that ever touched
    the church dried out.
    (dried out, dried out...)
    you have been fooled,
    you dwell in darkness.
    They see the cross
    and demonize themselves.
    They're having a crisis.
    We won't negotiate (and)
    we're proud of it!
The issue is not just identity cards
One priest and one woman fainted
due to the heat in the demonstration.
    (dried out, dried out)
    They were having a crisis.
    (etc. etc.)
