A soft, flowing track filled with orchestral sounds, busy percussion, and sentimental feelings backed up by an intro of poetry and a piano solo, both in the background. No one part of this track is meant to be the "star", but the entire track should be listened to as a sound of background, like a flowing river in the distance. | MP3.com CD: This Is Not A Drill - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
A musical goodbye to my old style. With the upcoming event of receiving a Roland Xp-30 synth will come the inevitable change of styles. Moreso with the fact that I will now be playing live shows. My music will evolve to fit my situation. A goodbye also to the innocence of youth, as I face the decisions, anxieties and excitement of my last year of high school. Those who know me, know Teeb. Teeb will always be with me, and I take comefort in that, and it reminds me of my youth. Circles, circles.
Lyrics
Aisukurimu (For Teeb)
Spoken in the background, beginning at 0:24
"As I sit and listen to the music of the clouds on a foggy afternoon,
I'm reminded of my days of youth
Wherein I would smile instead of frown.
When I still had my health.
When I had a cheery disposition
I think of these days and fall into a well of nostalgia.
I used to play video games and watch anime.
These days I just sit and inhale the inscence and hate myself
But I think I could learn
I could learn to love myself
And then others.
I could learn not to condemn the human race
Being a misanthrope is a lonely job
I watched Marat Sade the other day.
I was the only one in my class to laugh
Or cry
Sometimes I think I'm the only person my age with emotion
The only person not hiding behind a mask of some sort
The only person not behind a smokescreen of cool
Not in the comfortable blanket of comformity
I digress
I think I could learn to stop thinking this
If I met someone
I sit and I watch the clouds roll by
And think of Teeb
I think of those summer days running around the pool
I think I would like to be a star
Mama
Mama I would like very much to be a star
Mama I would like that very much
Papa, why are you angry?
Papa, I can be a star
Papa I wish you would learn to love life
I think then I could love life too.
I think I could learn to love life with a family.
I think if I had a reason I could love myself.
I think then I would not be a misanthrope.
I think I will be going off to college soon.
I think I will be surrounded with acceptance.
I think I will learn to love myself.
If I come back, will you love me Papa?
Will you accept me?
Have I been accepted here?
I've always assumed I have, but I can't be sure.
Nothing is for sure.
But I think I could learn to be sure.
So I sit
I watch the clouds
And think of Teeb."
