Lyrics
Under Midnight Skies
Written by Carline and Michael Maroon
Under midnight skies, the sounds of the darkness grow louder.
Sometimes hear the cries with chills up your spine as the train blows.
Doors are closed and locked up tight.
You think you're safe till morning shines it's light.
Paranoid, that's something new, streets unsafe,
the next one could be you.
Shadows on your wall, and quiet arrives as you wonder.
Night can sound so loud, with echoes of sharp distant thunder.
All but you and raging fear are fast asleep, you hope no one comes near.
Soon the light will break the spell, not soon enough to take you from this hell.
Under midnight skies, the darkness it seems, lasts forever.
Tomorrow soon will come and then you'll have to do it all again.
Paranoid, that's nothing new, streets unsafe,
the next one could be you
Soon the light will break the spell, not soon enough to take you from this hell.
