Story Behind the Song
You'd have to ask him, but it seems pretty clear. This is one of my personal favorite tracks on BMS, unfortunately buried at the end of the second disc. Check out the guitar solo section near the end - very atmospheric and gentle, but building to a powerful climax.
Lyrics
I looked at the time, the
Clock said now
I started to climb, but I
Didnt know how
It started to pour, drops of
Ice quenching fire, Raining
Melt to core, I as
Thin as a wire
I looked up and down and a-
Bout and around
I peered into doubt and I
Lost what Id found
And then I looked up
The rocks of my cage had
Turned in to cups with with rage
Look inside yourself,
What do you see?
Waste no time
Bridge through straight lines
Confuse chaos and reason
A pin prick on the horizon
is all that you need.
Breakdowns, meltdowns
Relax, heart pounds.
Feel your memories like seasons
Look inside your feeble mind
The joy inside is yours.
