	Story Behind the Song I wrote and recorded this song only a few hours after witnessing the death of someone. I was on a deadline to finish my album and supposed to be working on it, however fate intervened. I couldn't work so I tried to dispel the complicated and painful feelings I was experiencing at the time by playing Piantar. Within an hour I realised that I would be able to purge these feelings and bring about some kind of catharsis through my activities. Within a few hours I had managed to put this piece together which was going to be called 'Before and After Being' but it seemed more appropriate to make it the Title track. It is my tribute to the person who I witnessed leaving and also my acknowledgment of the need to remain aware of death as a life affirming force.
