	Story Behind the Song This song is about the battle between Beowulf and Grendel. In the hall of King Hrothgar. The mythical, half-human creature, Grendel has been slaying folk as they lay sleeping. Beowulf is employed to put an end to this. He fights a mighty battle, and through skill and cunning, mortally wounds Grendel. On the next night, he has to slay Grendel's mother by pursuing her back to her underwater lair, and killing her with a magic sword. This is another song, though!
