Story Behind the Song
When Phineas was in highschool, his teacher
did not think he could write anything Funky. So
for a class assignment, Phineas wrote this tune.
You can hear the Rufus-ChakaKhan influence.
This tune was written in 1982. A couple of years
later while playing with a Vocalist name Mara Lyle,
Phineas was exposed to a bass player name Oli Elder.
Oli greatly changed to original bass line. This
bass line is what is used on this song till this day!
Also, Mara Lyle did write some lyrics to this tune. Due
to differences, it never got copyrighted with lyrics.
