Lyrics
We met at a party.
It was a typical Saturday night.
The music was playing.
We danced all through the night.
You know what should have began
-ran back to him-
Led to bathtub blues.
The phone's ringing in the morning -
bells pounding through my head.
You know it took all my strength
to slowly crawl out from my bed.
You know I checked the I.D.-
same old story-
The bathtub blues.
I've got the bathtub blues.
Every morning in the shower, baby girl
You know I'v e got the bathtub blues
Yeah, the bathtub blues
Ah, nothing else to do but sing:
The bathtub blues.
I'm at the side of the road, rusty starlet,
I'm sliding under my car.
I see you from afar,
I see you travelin' as you come downbyme.
You slow down-smile-wave-say'how are you'
Again the bathtub blues.
I've got the bathtub blues.
Every morning in the shower, baby girl
You know I'v e got the bathtub blues
Yeah, the bathtub blues
Ah, nothing else to do but sing:
The bathtub blues.
