Story Behind the Song
The inspiration for this instrumental wasthe story of David when after being pursued by Saul escapes to the cave of Adullam where he is joined by a motley crew of individuals who pledge their support to David and become a mighty army under him.
Psalm 142 is a song David wrote while in Adullam's Cave and the story of his escape there is told in 1 Samuel 22.
