	Story Behind the Song During the period of my "literary awakening," I stumbled over Steinbeck's, "The Grapes of Wrath." I must admit, the classics do scare me, but this work totally inspired my creative energies...I found myself thinking like a member of the Joad's family, as well as feeling their pain. As soon as I finished the book, I picked up my guitar, put myself in Steinbeck's shoes, and wrote... Lyrics "Part of Me" We never look out to the ocean any more, We never stop to see the sea, Whatever happened to me and you, There's one think left to do, Take a chance and follow me...follow me...
