	Story Behind the Song Trev played the original riff. Then we added the rest of the music. I came up with the lyrics after I stayed up all night a hot chick i wanted to hook up with. She spilled her guts to me and told me about her and her ex-boyfriend. All the lyrics are true except for the last few lines...you gotta add a dramatic ending to a dramatic song. Oh yeah, i didn't get to hook up with her, i was too touched, so i wrote a song about her. Lyrics she picked up her clothes and she walked out the door her mind was made made up, she knew she was sure her man disrespected her one last time she walked out the door with betrayal on her mind step by step, she walked down the street and she saw all the people she could possibly meet all this time that she wasted away now she's looking forward to a brighter day she finally left this god awful place with bruises and scratches all over her face her man disrespected her one last time she walked out the door with betrayal on her mind then one day, it came to an end it seemed like her problems were all pretend she'd rather be living than lying there dead one day he got her with a bullet in the head
