	Awakenings is about that part of us that every now and then stops and questions if you are actually living the life you want to lead. Life often moves along so quickly that it's the best we can do just to make it through each day. This song is about someone who "wakes up" and decides that they are only living as a shadow of what they could really be. It's about cutting lose old ties and setting your sights on new horizons.

	Story Behind the Song Awakenings is the first original song our band has ever written. It is also one of the first songs we have ever recorded. It was recorded on a low budget so the sound quality (especially the gutair) is a bit dodgy. We hope to re-record it next year as part of a full album.
