Story Behind the Song
The road in the sky ravens follow home at the end of a long day. I created this song in August, 1997. It was my first composition and was created entirely in MIDI. Well, except for the raven call. :)
These intelligent animals are quite playful and have often been seen performing incredible acrobatics while flying. Playing tag is one of their favorite pastimes. These birds live to about 70 years old, and a mated pair stay together for life. Nesting in large groups, ravens often lend a hand (wing?) in caring for each another's offspring so parents can go shopping for food.
With the smarts and behavior we see displayed by ravens, it's not surprising that birds are the one group of dinosaurs which made it through the most recent Great Extinction on earth.
