Story Behind the Song
this is sort of a dada lyric, only i guess it has meaning. this song came out one day after i heard kurt cobain singing about "look on the bright side, suicide" but it isn't meant to be depressing.
the recording was very much a documentation, with many takes being used to create the overall fabrication... most of what you hear was recorded on the first take. piano, background vocals, beatboxing...
if you listen closely (perhaps on headphones), during the first few seconds of the song, you can hear (on the left channel) isaac getting a cigarette from the pack, and then lighting it. the cigarette lighting noise was actually recorded prior to the rest of that sound, and we added the pack removal to add ambience to the intro.
this mix has been a challenge, and i am not yet happy with what is on the site, as time goes by i will upload newer versions.
Lyrics
ICU, hanging from a thread
a mile in my shoes you'll learn nothing new
nighttime sunshine daylight mainline
i'm coming in under your skin
under your skin
sweethearts walk and lovers talk
i come home to the sound of a moan
thinking fighting runaway dreaming
i'm coming in under your skin
are you ready to die? x3
oh oh oh...
i hear the beat of a foriegn heart
a smile on your face as you tear me apart
sleeping, slaping, midnight laughing
i'm coming in under your skin
under your skin
under your skin
under your skin
---the chords are a simple A# F# and F, with a G# in the bridge.
