    Story Behind the Song
Our band was invited to participate in an all faiths get together. Since the directors did not want to offend anyone, we were asked to not sing about Christ even though we were a christian band. We had a solution.

    Lyrics
I'll never forget the day they all came to play
Every church around and the synagogues
There were pastors, preachers, and new age teachers
There were rabbis and holy men of God

You see this was meant to be a unified assembly
Where everyone would come together in one accord
As long as we didn't offend they didn't wish to condescend
They said to sing our songs but don't sing about the Lord

They said you can sing about love
    About the stars above
You can sing the praises of mighty men of war
You can sing about a higher power or about your darkest hour
But whatever you do don't sing about the Lord

Well we found that kind of strange not to be able to mention his name
How could we praise the Lord without singing of Jesus
So we came up with a plan brand new
We could sing our songs in Hebrew
And still glorify our Lord and King of Kings

There's only one thing I can say
About the lesson we learned that day
And the way we pulled off our own little surprise
If you're seeking not to offend or this gospel comprehend
You can't hide Jesus, no you can't compromise

    Now we're singing about love
    About the Lord above
We're singing the praises of that mighty man of war
We're singing about a higher power every day and every hour
And whatever we do we're singing about the Lord
Yes, whatever we do we're singing about the Lord

    Now we're singing about love
    About the Lord above
We're singing the praises of that mighty man of war
We're singing about a higher power every day and every hour
And whatever we do we're singing about the Lord
Yes, whatever we do we're singing about the Lord
