I wrote this song in the dark of the night after the end of a tumultuous relationship. I was hurting pretty badly and needed some support from something other than myself. I decided to sing to an angel - a patient confidant when one doesn't want to impose on others. The song also examines what I sometimes believe is the futility of my life, my harsh and negative self-perspective, and is an acknowledgment of the patterns that my relationships have formed. |
