	Story Behind the Song I was motivated to write this song when I decided to paper mache a small globe of the world while I was in Denmark. I covered all the names of countries and political boundaries with paper and glue and painted it blue and green. I was staring at this 'blue miracle' that I had hung in my room when the whole song unfolded in a moment, and was written in five minutes. It was originally recorded as a demo, taking five hours to record and five hours to mix.
