	Story Behind the Song The motivation of this song came about while creating the musical, A New Testament Gospera (Gospel Opera). The story is taken from the New Testament (Mt.2:1-15). Altho the theme of the song is Gospel (and the lyrics from the New Testament), the music and style Pop and Hip-Hop. I wrote this song one evening in my apartment. It took approximately two days to complete. However, the recording session only took four hours. In comparison, the Gospera (Musical) is like "Jesus Christ Superstar" with a different kind of music. Lyrics where is he? (lyrics by: dee downing) chorus: where is he...that is born, for we have seen star rising in the east... we have come to worship him. verse 1 (king herod): i don't know where they're com'in from; i won't go out into their nightly sun! go & find out...search the scriptures & bring 2 me his place of birth! verse 2 (scribe): it is written by the prophet's son; in a land not far off shall this stranger come! out of thee shall come a governor... from Bethlehem! repeat chorus verse 3 (king herod): please tell me the hour of your star; i'll send you 2 him...he is not that far! perform your search now... diligently & find the "Star Child!" verse 4 (king herod): when u find him, bring me word again; i'm in a place 2 lend a helping hand! i want 2 follow...u on your journey... worship him just the same! repeat chorus rap segment (wisemen): we been search'in everywhere for this kid; we started way beyond the land of the "Pyramid." & we journied far, from east 2 west; just 2 wind up in the middle of this here mess... by the king, no doubt, he tried 2 trick us; masqueraded by his political status; & as for us, what did we know? becuz we're wise doesn't mean, we knew his law! hey, we're travelers for far away; it was easy 2 make that there mistake; we hit a stump & visited the regional king; it's his business 2 know everything... go'in on in this territory; who knew he would try 2 end this story before it began...here in this room; we must now depart before he seals our doom!
