	Story Behind the Song I had help from Paul Warner with the lyrics. Mike Dowling played electric guitars, drums, and background vocals. The song was recorded at Six+1 Studios in Florence, SC by Kevin Smith. On this particular version Kevin Smith played the guitar solo. Lyrics Verse 1 They say that being left behind is so much harder than leaving. And I know it's hard to tell your heart that everything happens for a reason. And yes you've had your past but it doesn't add up to your future. There's a mountain up ahead and on the other side your freedom. Chorus The road less traveled is so hard to take. But it leads to treasures that soon won't be replaced. And if you lose your way just look to me and my hand and I'll lead you back again. Verse 2 Started out on your own just looking for a place to call your own. Never thought it could be this tough. They can keep their lies you've had enough.
