	Story Behind the Song This section was longer in the first and second drafts, with the Shifty-Eyed Man (who, in my mind, always looked like the guy who played Balok in Star Trek, except Shifty is him at forty-five--he also played Gentle Ben, I believe) arguing with other characters. As it is, this section is heavy on exposition/explanation disguised as dialogue, so I decided to cut it as short as I could.
