	Story Behind the Song Since almost the beginning of recorded history,mankind has been searching for the secret of immortality. Is this an achievable goal? Is it even desirable? Eternal life would radically alter our perceptions in every concievable way. How much more of a tragedy would an accidental death be? Or suicide? What possible punishment could we devise for such a heinous crime as murder?(hitherto only gods could dream of eternal damnation) Death would be most feared,and life even more sacred. That is,until overpopulation would force us to reconsider these values. An infinite lifespan without infinite space and resources would be,if not impossible to conceive,impossible to sustain. It seems foolish to even think about it.
