Story Behind the Song
This song is a bit emotional for me, I guess it says it all, a very bad relationship finally ending, I didn't want to leave any sort of memory of me for him. I had had enough. The album as a whole was written during the summer of 1997, a very busy time as I was trying to keep my mind occupied from the very nature of this song. I had big plans for a lot of production in this song, violins and/or piano harmony, but feel the simple acoustic version really carries the song well. I really hope you can relate this song to some experience in your own life.
Lyrics
Bye-bye baby, I've got a long trip ahead. And- I've been saving up to bring my love with me. So I will bring my love with me, because you and I should never be. So, I will bring my love with me and you won't have the chance to remember me. Because, if I ever have to face it all again....
So, bye-bye baby. So, you think you've got a story? Is it threatening, depriving? Or maybe more?
So, I will bring my love with me, and you won't have the chance to remember me. Because- if I have have to face that all again...
So, I will bring my love with me.
With me...
So, bye-bye baby...
