"Ahwahnee" takes you on a journey through Yosemite's many personalities. As you listen imagine its quiet meadows and lazy streams, the powerful Merced river and crashing waterfalls. Listen to the beating drums of the tribe who lived here and imagine what it was like to grow old in this beautiful valley! The music begins as you enter the valley and catch your first glimpse of the towering walls of granite that surround you! Just close your eyes and enjoy!

	Story Behind the Song I've had the pleasure of visiting Yosemite 13 times over the years and the place never fails to amaze me. On my last trip there in 1998 I enjoyed a presentation by a local video photographer and decided that I wanted to write music to go along with one of his Yosemite videos. Well- I ended up never contacting him but this music is the result of that effort.
