A skightly new-age inspired pop vocal. That sounds like a contradiction, doesn't it? |

Story Behind the Song
This is a very personal song, written just after my father's death in 1993. He was a Scot (hence the bagpipes) and a sailor (hence the water metaphors!) No matter how old we are when our parents pass away, we still feel the loss and realize that we are the next tide. It was sung by a then 17-year old Gillian Roth (a former student of mine) who really did it justice. This song wrote itself in about 10 minutes, and has been through a number of revisions. Even though it's been on my film demo for a while, I still think I'd like to do the song again...but it's better to have music heard then hidden on some DAT somewhere.
