	Story Behind the Song wrote the song on my way back from a solo tour of the northeast in february 1999. had to pull off the highway and huddle over my guitar at a rest area to work out the buzzing in my head. came out quick, in a few minutes. i think i'd had too much coffee that day. we recorded it live at rob gal's snack 'n shack studio in atlanta. i don't remember how many takes it took, either one or two. came out in all it's imperfect, angst-ridden, beautiful rawness. enjoy.
